    March 16-18, 2026
Freie Universität Berlin, Campus Lankwitz, Malteserstr. 74-100, Berlin, Germany

The recently founded German Society for Planetary Research (DGP) and the Europlanet Germany Regional Hub organise the first annual planetary science conference (DGP 2026) on 16-18 March 2026. The annual meeting will make activities in the field of planetary research in Germany more visible, promote scientific exchange, and strengthen cooperation between researchers, institutions, and companies.

We look forward to a broad participation — not only from DGP members, but also from the wider planetary science community and space industry. Our goal is to establish the Annual Meeting as a forum for everyone engaged in planetary sciences — including solar system and exoplanet research as well as space engineering. Therefore, please share this announcement with anyone interested in (exo-)planetary science and space exploration.

The event will begin at noon on March 16 and conclude around noon on March 18, to make travel to and from the meeting easier for you. There will be no conference fee for this first edition of the DGP annual meeting, but timely registration is mandatory for attendance. The meeting language is English.

In addition to scientific talks and posters, we will include several complementary events at DGP 2026, including overviews of institutes engaged in planetary research and exploration, presentations of industry activities, as well as flash talks from early-career professionals. The registration form provides the opportunity to sign up for participation in these short presentation formats. The meeting will also host the General Assembly of the DGP and of the early-career network DPGEC, as well as splinter sessions.
